The Sigma 24 to 70 F2.8 DG DN II is the lens I rely on when I need flexibility without thinking. It covers almost everything I shoot from wide environmental frames to my favourite landscape shots, which means I can stay focused on the moment rather than constantly changing lenses.
The image quality is sharp and consistent across the zoom range, and the F2.8 aperture gives me enough control over depth of field while still being practical for everyday shooting. Surprisingly it gives its Sony equivalent a lot to work for.
If I had to choose one lens to build an entire project around, this would probably be it.
